Are you a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients across the lifespan?

Our organisation is seeking a Graduate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Goulburn, where you will have the opportunity to work with clients from toddlers to aged care.

As an Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include assessing clients' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.

Based on your findings, you will formulate treatment goals unique to each client and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

You will also provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment, including home, school, work and residential facilities, and recommend provision of Assistive Technology to assist clients with their functional limitations and to promote independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing an allocated caseload: Completing therapeutic services in a timely manner.
  • Assessing clients' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
  • Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each client.
  • Providing therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based.
  • Providing support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home, school, work and residential facilities.
  • Recommending provision of Assistive Technology to assist clients with their functional limitations and to promote independence.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
  • Degree qualified Occupational Therapist.
  • Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) OR eligible for the same upon completion of a university degree in occupational therapy at an Australian university.
