Job Overview:

Mechanical engineers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of data centers. This position involves providing full life-cycle support to these facilities, from design inception to site improvement and maintenance.

You will be responsible for reviewing designs, conducting site visits, and collaborating with vendors to ensure that data centers meet the highest standards of efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with vendors to review and approve new data center designs, incorporating AWS products where necessary.
  • Act as a resident engineer during construction projects, supporting the team through commissioning, handover, and post-project evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and create corrective action plans for site/equipment failure.
  • Provide technical support for operational issues, including ad-hoc training, complex procedure reviews, and event support.
  • Support existing data center upgrades and design solutions, focusing on capacity, availability, and efficiency improvements.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of cumulative experience in industrial or commercial engineering, specifically in mission-critical facilities.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, and high quality standards.
  • Direct experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities, particularly data centers.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
