Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with engineering procedures and certification requirements;
  • Maintain the engineering infrastructure necessary to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at the Maintenance Base;
  • Monitor and control costs associated with aircraft and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance.

Description of Duties:

  • Provide proactive leadership to the Perth Engineering-based staff and participate in broader engineering leadership directives;
  • Ensure schedule-based rostering to meet contract requirements;
  • Review planned maintenance activities in advance;
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, tooling, data, and Aeronautical Products for timely completion of maintenance activities;
  • Monitor and control OTP, efficiency, costs, and other KPIs at the Perth Engineering base;
  • Audit and amend regulatory and maintenance data held at the base;
  • Ensure the serviceability of tooling and equipment and manage a Preventative Maintenance/Service Program for GSE;
  • Monitor training and performance requirements for engineering staff;
  • Participate in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) issues and directives;
  • Perform other duties as directed by the General Manager Engineering or delegate.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Proven self-starter with a flexible attitude;
  • Ability to manage a close-knit team and work unsupervised;
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative;
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines;
  • Experience in airline operations;
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines in a high-workload environment;
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements;
  • Holding a CASA B1 or B2 license and eligibility for Saab 340 type training.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
