This is a dynamic position within our restaurant team where you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our premises.

You will work closely with our management to ensure that all areas of the restaurant are clean, safe, and well-maintained. This includes but is not limited to the internal and external environment, equipment, carpark, patio, and exterior fixtures.

In addition to your cleaning and maintenance duties, you will also be required to organize and clean the back area of the restaurant, including the rubbish area and staff toilets.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the internal and external environment to provide a clean, functioning, and welcoming space for customers and staff.
  • Ensuring all equipment is well-functioning and the environment is safe and secure from potential hazards.
  • Maintaining the carpark, patio, and all exterior equipment including but not limited to bins, gardens, curbs, signage, floors, tables, and chairs.
  • Organizing and cleaning the back area of the restaurant including the rubbish area and staff toilets.
  • Complying with restaurant safety and security standards for a safe working environment.
  • Completing ad-hoc maintenance tasks when requested by the management team.

Your success in this role will depend on your ability to:

  • Show a high level of attention to detail.
  • Work autonomously and make decisions independently.
  • Be highly organized with the ability to meet strict timelines.
  • Presentation matters - you should always look professional and friendly.
  • Be available to work early mornings to prepare the restaurant for trade.
  • Independently complete tasks such as mopping, scrubbing, climbing ladders, cleaning windows, and toilets.
  • Engage confidently with customers, suppliers, or contractors, including handling difficult situations with individuals.
  • Hear and respond to various alerts and alarms.
  • Bounce back from challenges with a positive mindset.
  • Pass a police check if successful (applicants over 18 years only).
  • Hold a valid right to work in Australia.
