The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors is a private Registered Training Organisation (RTO) providing Higher Education specialising in the delivery of external education programs in counselling, community services, and financial counselling. Our team is passionate about assisting people formalise their natural helping abilities so they can support others to lead happier, healthier lives.

About the Role

As a key advisor for our allied health programs, you will be the trusted expert guiding course enquirers through options and enrolment procedures. You will encourage potential students to enrol, many of whom are seeking a change in direction or a new career pathway. This role works closely with a supportive team and training will be provided.

This is a permanent, full-time position with flexibility in your workdays. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though occasional adjustments between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM may be required. We welcome candidates based in Melbourne or Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing timely responses & follow-ups on enquiries from prospective students via phone/email.
  2. Building relationships with course enquirers while developing positive communication and dialogue.
  3. Encouraging enrolment using a consultative, need-based approach.
  4. Achieving Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) whilst meeting customer (student) needs.
  5. Maintaining course enquirer records in our Customer Relationship Management System (CRM).
About You

We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who loves inspiring students about the career opportunities in their chosen program.

Ideally, you will have:

  1. Previous experience in a similar advisory role or equivalent experience in other sales-based positions.
  2. Experience in a student services or telephone-based role within an education provider or RTO will be highly regarded.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  4. Experience in utilising CRM systems to manage external client relationships.
