Job Overview

WSP's Mining Sustaining Capital team is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance its capabilities and reputation.

The ideal candidate will bring technical leadership and underground mining expertise to projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Discipline, with experience in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.

  • Develop and oversee mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity and cost estimates.
  • Evaluate the performance of mechanical assets against safety, cost, environmental impact and reliability standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated project success.
  • Prepare high-level technical reports and review medium-sized project reports.
  • Contribute to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organization.
