About the Role

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technology Management to lead our technology management efforts in the Asia region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful design and implementation of complex projects, including signalling and E&M turnkeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Liaise and interact with central engineering function departments to ensure technical troubleshooting, engineering budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, requiring excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, identifying and mitigating potential risks and challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring designs meet their expectations.
  • Negotiate technical aspects of contracts and agreements, including project scope, fees, and timelines.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of railway systems, including train control, signalling, communications, power supply, and track infrastructure.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical specifications and translate them into practical design solutions.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, ensuring designs comply with the latest changes.
  • 10-15 years of experience in a similar business market, with a degree in engineering preferred.
