First Nations Family Support Team Leader

We are seeking a Team Leader to lead our First Nations Family Support Team, working in partnership with families, the community and Child and Youth Protection Services colleagues.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and mentoring to a multidisciplinary team who strive to deliver best practices in culturally safe family support for First Nations children, young people, families and communities.
Key to this role is cultural competency skills to contribute to positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in the ACT.
Qualifications required include relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience in child protection and/or youth justice.
A current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is also essential.
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
- Cultural competency and understanding of First Nations' needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
