We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to join our Foster Care program as a Senior Training and Review Officer. This part-time position (0.8 FTE) is a fixed-term contract until 20 September 2025, based in Seaton.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver tailored trauma training to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Conduct carer reviews, assessing their competencies and identifying areas for development.
- Work with the Assessment Manager and team to provide specialist and general foster care for children aged 0-17 years.
- Coordinate the roster for courses like Shared Lives and Circle of Security, ensuring carers receive the training they need.
- Monitor training outcomes, gathering feedback and evaluations to maintain the carer training register.
- Assist in organizing foster carer events and support groups, promoting a positive team culture and safe work environment.
- Social Work degree or equivalent qualification recognized under the Department for Child Protection minimum qualification and training requirements.
- Environments for Children and Young People certification.
- Understanding of therapeutic approaches for children and young people with trauma backgrounds.
- Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Placement Principles.
- Extensive Assessment/Case Management experience.
- SCHCADS Level 6 $53.84p/h + Super.
