The role of Financial Operations Specialist is crucial to the management of a venue's financial operations. Reporting to the Senior Financial Operations Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the effective management of the venue's finances within a growing organization.
This includes preparing month-end reports, including variance analysis and commentaries, to provide insights into the venue's financial performance. You will also perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Additionally, you will develop and maintain profit and loss statements, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement. You will assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to monitor financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Implementing efficient finance processes to optimize financial operations is also critical.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare month-end reports, including variance analysis and commentaries, to provide insights into the venue's financial performance.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Develop and maintain profit and loss statements, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.

- Implement efficient finance processes to optimize financial operations.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a commercial environment.
- Previous experience with cloud-based accounting systems, particularly MYOB Acumatica.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and commercial acumen.
- Strong analytical, technical, and Excel skills, with a proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
