Senior Horse Handler

A stud farm worker is responsible for the care and management of mares, foals, weanlings, yearlings, and spelling racehorses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling and caring for horses in various stages of development including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Providing assistance to veterinarians, farriers, and other equine professionals as required.
- Conducting daily tasks such as feed runs, cleaning barns, and administering treatments.
- Supporting foal handling, weaning, and transportation to and from cover and breakers.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Holding a valid Australian driver's license.
- Demonstrating high-level horse husbandry skills and experience.
- Prior experience in general horse care and stud farm duties.
- Able to work independently and mentor junior/seasonal staff members.
- Will to continuously learn and broaden their skills.
