Job Opportunity: Music Educator

We are seeking an experienced and innovative music educator to join our team. As a secondary music teacher and extra-curricular music leader, you will play a key role in fostering a love of learning in students through inclusive and learner-centred pedagogy.

About the Role
  • Demonstrate expertise in Music teaching across various stages, utilizing a range of teaching methods, strategies, and technologies.
  • Manage tuition and ensemble programs effectively, leading instrumental and worship ensembles, as well as direct large group singing rehearsals.
  • Collaborate with the learning team to design and implement effective teaching programs, in line with data, strategic direction, curriculum, and available resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student learning, provide feedback, and report on progress.
  • Participate in professional development initiatives alongside staff.
  • Engage professionally with colleagues, parents, and the community, including organizing events, concerts, and performances.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Compliance with child protection legislation.
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
  • A tertiary qualification (minimum 4-year degree).
