Music Educator Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Music Educator to develop and lead music programs for children and families.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and create customized music and movement lessons for individual students and groups.
  • Design engaging class materials on music theory, rhythm, and movement that cater to young learners and their parents.
  • Lead interactive classes teaching various musical techniques, encouraging active participation from children and their families.
  • Assign exercises and activities tailored to each student's unique needs and talents, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Regularly observe and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to both students and their parents.
  • Discuss students' development with parents or supervisors as needed.
  • Evaluate class instruction and student engagement, gather feedback from parents, and adapt curricular and teaching approaches accordingly.
  • Organize exhibitions and performances for students to showcase their talents.
  • Prepare students for examinations and assessments, ensuring they feel confident and prepared to demonstrate their skills.
  • Stay updated about music education developments through professional training, conferences, and online resources.
  • Arrange for students to visit professional music events, enhancing their learning experiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Music Educator related role, with a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
  • Experience in music education of children and knowledge of child development.
  • Strong musical skills, including singing in tune, demonstrating rhythm accurately, and playing musical instruments.
  • An enthusiastic approach to teaching, committed to creating a positive classroom environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, engaging parents and families in their children's musical growth.
