Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality food products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Kitchen Management: Plan, direct, and supervise food preparation and cooking activities to ensure efficient operation and delivery of services.
  • Menu Planning: Determine how food should be presented, create decorative food displays, and analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Staff Supervision: Instruct cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, as well as monitor sanitation practices to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Sourcing and Inventory: Order or requisition food and supplies needed to ensure efficient operation, inspect supplies and equipment, and maintain accurate records of production and operational data.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in cookery or hospitality and tourism are essential.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef, with at least 2 years' experience in commercial kitchen cookery, menu planning, and new dish planning.
  • Skills: Passion for great food and presentation, understanding of food safety, experience in kitchen operations, team management, training, and customer service.
