Assistant Hospitality Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Hospitality Store Manager to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to grow their career in hospitality and take on new challenges.

  • Lead the restaurant team in efficient day-to-day operations, ensuring great-tasting, high-quality food is served and exceptional customer service is maintained at all times.
  • Be a role model for the standards and behaviours consistent with the company values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Ensure that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety and that safety and security standards are recognised and upheld.
  • Manage staff including rostering, shift changes and team meetings, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Identify talent, interview and hire new team members, as well as train, develop and cross-train all front-of-house team members.
  • Perform office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling and reviewing policies, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Execute marketing promotions and drive a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and creativity throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in leading the restaurant team in efficient day-to-day operations
  2. Be a role model for the standards and behaviours consistent with the company values and culture
  3. Ensure great-tasting, high-quality food is served and exceptional customer service is maintained at all times
  4. Listen to customer feedback and consistently work to ensure positive customer experiences
  5. Identify talent, interview and hire new team members
  6. Induction and on-boarding of new team members
  7. Train, develop and cross-train all front-of-house team members
  8. Ensure high staff performance reviews and drive a culture of continuous improvement
  9. Manage staff including rostering, shift changes and team meetings
  10. Order stock from various suppliers
  11. Perform office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling and reviewing policies
  12. Manage daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room and general restaurant
  13. Execute marketing promotions
  14. Ensure safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar environment, preferably in hospitality, retail or other management roles
  • Positive, happy and bubbly personality - able to build on the great workplace culture and provide exceptional customer service
  • An engaged and energetic team player - celebrates shared success and willing to go the extra mile to help the team
  • Able to speak clearly and listen attentively to both customers and colleagues
  • Able to maintain a professional, well-groomed and neat appearance at all times
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to changing customer levels as required
  • Knowledge and experience of cash handling policies and procedures
  • Able to accurately execute office administration tasks and duties
  • Previous Fast Food experience will be well regarded
