Job Opportunity:

We are pleased to announce two newly created leadership positions at a prestigious university, with one role based in Geelong and the other in Burwood.

  • As a junior management professional within our dynamic security and campus support environment, you will have the chance to step into a leadership position and make a meaningful impact. Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Ensuring consistency and accountability across the team.
  • Rostering & Workforce Planning: Managing shift schedules, attendance tracking, and leave planning.
  • Training & Development: Identifying training needs, facilitating upskilling, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensuring all compliance requirements are met, including licensing, inductions, and ongoing training.
  • Performance Management: Monitoring and supporting team performance, providing feedback, and implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Event Support: Acting as a lead representative during key university events, managing operations, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Reporting: Preparing timely weekly and monthly reports for internal and client submission.
  • Safety First: Promoting and reinforcing Zero Harm principles and leading internal audits for safe work practices.
  • Employee Liaison: Being a trusted point of contact for team members, supporting employee wellbeing, and facilitating communication with HR and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • You will need:
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams, preferably in a 24/7 operational or campus support environment.
  • A VIC Security Licence Unarmed & Crowd Control (required), Control Room & Monitoring (advantage).
  • Current knowledge of work health and safety and risk management practices.
  • Knowledge of current industry standards and requirements.
  • Proven experience in emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Previous experience in operation of systems within a Control Room environment (Integriti/Avigilon).
  • A High level of computer skills (including all Microsoft products).
  • A Working with Children's Check (Employee) - Required.
  • A Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • A Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
