Job Overview

This position requires strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships. You will leverage your expertise to facilitate workshops using a variety of risk assessment techniques, undertake risk and consequence modelling, and develop scopes of work and cost estimates for proposals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and maximize opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and develop comprehensive mitigation plans.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on risk-related matters, leveraging industry knowledge and technical skills.
  • Conduct risk assessments and modelling, identifying areas of high risk and developing targeted recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • A degree qualification in Engineering or Science related to process safety (Chemical, Mechanical preferred) or similar discipline.
  • 5-10 years industry experience in a recognised consulting, chemical processing, heavy industry, transport, mining, corporate, or regulatory environment.
  • Experience working in a risk, audit, governance, or compliance position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
