Network Planning Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Distribution Network Strategy & Planning team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, promoting, and refining network planning processes, techniques, and systems for efficient management of network assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and promote network planning processes, techniques, and systems for efficient management of network assets.
  • Lead the planning for augmentation of the network to maintain bushfire safety compliance with Rapid Earth Fault Current Limiter (REFCL) technology.
  • Manage delivery of current and emerging non-network solutions required to reduce network demand and generation to avoid/defer network investment.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for all Network Planning matters and provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification and experience in Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in contemporary electricity network planning, asset management practices, and overarching markets.
  • Expert proficiency in using electricity network analysis tools or relevant software and interpreting results.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously from conception to implementation.
  • Detailed knowledge of National Electricity Rules, energy markets, and relevant laws, regulations, rules, licenses, and agreements.
