Job Title: Rehabilitation Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at IPAR. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

About the Role:

This is a diverse and challenging role that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals. You will have the opportunity to work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case management and assessment of clients with workplace injuries or illnesses
  • Development and implementation of injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Collaboration with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals to achieve return to work outcomes
  • Completion of various assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments
  • Review of diagnosis, support of treatment plans, and identification of suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or illnesses
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC)
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry highly regarded
  • Fabulous communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy
  • Well-developed time management skills and ability to manage a caseload
  • A current SA Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
