PhD Scholarship – Development of Novel Radiotracers for Fibrosis Detection

Monash University is seeking a highly motivated PhD scholar to join our research team in the development of novel radiotracers for fibrosis detection.
About the ProjectFibrosis is a scarring process that can lead to organ malfunction and is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Current imaging techniques for fibrosis are indirect and possess substantial limitations, making the need for accurate and sensitive diagnosis very high.
This PhD project aims to develop a molecular imaging probe for direct and sensitive detection of fibrosis during the early stages of pathology. The project will involve the development of novel radiotracers, their characterization, and their application in preclinical models of fibrosis.
EligibilityApplicants must have a strong background in a relevant field, such as chemistry, biology, or medicine. A Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree with honours is required. The applicant should also have a strong interest in research and a willingness to work in a team environment.
What We OfferMonash University offers a full PhD scholarship for years, including $10k for travel to England and 1-3 months spent overseas. The scholarship also includes supervision by a team of experienced researchers in the field.
