Expert Observability System Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Observability Systems Specialist to support the development and implementation of advanced monitoring systems within Defence environments.
This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining observability systems using cutting-edge technologies such as Elastic Stack and Operations Bridge Manager (OBM).
- Design and implement observability systems to ensure real-time monitoring and issue resolution.
- Develop procedures and tools to enhance the management and support of monitoring environments.
- Set up and configure Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Operations Bridge Manager (OBM) for optimal performance.
- Analyze and visualize metrics, logs, traces, and events from various systems to ensure full-stack observability.
- Design and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports tailored for IT operations, development, and security teams.
- Monitor system performance proactively, identify bottlenecks, and optimize configurations for efficiency and scalability.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with other teams for continuous improvement.
- Implement and manage security configurations including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Monitoring and Observability-focused ICT role.
- Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Operations Bridge Manager.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (Linux, Windows, networks, cloud platforms).
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
