Enterprise Database Administration Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced system architect to design, develop and administer large-scale database systems with a strong focus on mainframe Db2 administration and optimization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for scoping, sourcing, and optimizing database environments to support enterprise-wide solutions. Key responsibilities include providing expert advice to stakeholders and technical teams on database administration, planning and managing software installations, and administering database configuration and security.

  • Migrate ObjectStar Table datastore to Db2 on z/OS
  • Design, maintain, and optimize Db2 databases
  • Upgrade Db2 to Version 13
  • Ensure database integrity, security, and availability across enterprise environments

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in Mainframe Db2 Database Administration, strong knowledge of IBM Db2 tools, and proficiency with z/OS interfaces. They should also have experience rolling out Db2 maintenance across mainframe systems and understanding z/OS software installation methodologies.

This is a mid-senior level position that requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the development of standards and processes for data assets.
