Job Opportunity:
A highly engaged and collaborative team is seeking an Early Career Dietitian with a passion for working in cancer, gastroenterology, and surgery.
About the Role:
This fixed-term, full-time position offers a unique opportunity to develop clinical skills in oncology, gastroenterology, and surgical services at a major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education, and research across three campuses.
The Work:
As a Grade 1 Dietitian, you will be based at one of our sites working under the direction of Senior Clinician leaders. Your primary work areas will include oncology inpatient and ambulatory services, gastroenterology, and surgical inpatients (orthopaedic, plastic, and general surgery).
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality dietetic care to patients in oncology, gastroenterology, and surgical services
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams
- Contributing to student training programs as a 'buddy dietitian'
- Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Qualification to practice as a dietitian in Australia
- At least 1 year of acute clinical experience
- Good organisational skills, efficient workload management, and prioritisation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective counselling skills and commitment to patient-centred care
