Job Title

We are seeking a Data Engineering Specialist to lead the development of logical and physical data models. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and modelling data sources, documenting the data consumed and provided.
  • Building data architectures for our data landscape and target databases.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand how data is used and consumed.
  • Developing data pipelines and testing artefacts to validate data against requirements.
  • Delivering training and knowledge-sharing sessions for engineering teams.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and analysts to validate design decisions.
  • Participating in design reviews, testing, and pipeline builds in non-production environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of data modelling methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault 2.0, BI principles).
  • Hands-on experience using tools such as Erwin or similar.
  • Excellent SQL skills for exploration, testing, and validation.
  • Proven experience working with data engineers to prototype models and guide designs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical to business language.
  • Experience in complex data environments including ETL/integration, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses.
  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP, APIs, JSON, flat files, and RDBMS data sources.
  • Knowledge of Agile ways of working, DataOps/DevOps practices, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau preferred).
  • A self-starter with curiosity, adaptability, and attention to detail.
