Data Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Specialist to join our team. This senior role involves leading the design and development of data solutions using modern technologies.

  • The successful candidate will have experience supporting business intelligence and data science workflows, with hands-on expertise in SQL and Python programming languages.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, monitor, and deliver multiple concurrent projects is essential for this position.
  • Experience in leading technical work at an advanced level and familiarity with agile methodologies is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Data Solutions: Lead the design and development of priority enhancements and improvements to our data platforms.
  • Assess Enhancement Requests: Support the team to assess enhancement requests, understand time and resource costs, tasks, and skills required, and project planning.
  • Identify Enterprise Needs: Identify enterprise needs; design and build solutions for spatial and non-spatial data acquisition and ingestion, warehousing, architecture, and engineering based on requirements.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide second and third-level IT support, problem troubleshooting, and change support as they relate to the data engineering platform and products.
