Electrical Engineer Opportunity

Job Description:

The role involves developing power electronics systems to help achieve a mission of engineering the future of battery energy storage.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer who has experience designing BESS products.

The ideal candidate is comfortable designing the electrical layout of BESS products with particular attention to compliance and site installation compatibility. You will be familiar with 3-phase mains voltage equipment and have experience in selecting equipment such as circuit breakers, automatic disconnect devices, CTs, and other electrical equipment used in these products.

You will be comfortable taking the lead to design the required electrical solutions and working collaboratively with other design engineers on the core BESS elements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing the AC voltage equipment and wiring for our BESS products.
  • Creating and supporting micro grids, loads and other test environments.
  • Providing specialised engineering support in power electronics for battery management.
  • Providing support for product requirements.
  • Maintaining suitable documentation of work conducted.
  • Ad-hoc engineering tasks and activities as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor/Masters/PhD in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in BESS product creation or installation.
  • In-depth knowledge of key standards such as AS3000.
  • Product support experience.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices, with experience in designing and developing power electronics systems. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide excellent communication skills are also essential.
