Job Title: Senior Pastry ArtisanAs a skilled Baker, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of ingredients and create delicious pastries and baked goods.Key Responsibilities:- Verify that the facility is operational and that the equipment is clean before production runs to ensure adherence to occupational health and safety requirements.
- Verify the quality and quantity of raw ingredients and weigh them accurately.
- Knead, let dough rest, slice, mold, combine, and form baked items.
- Prepare pastry fillings and create fillings for pastries.
- Monitor product appearance and oven temperatures to determine optimal baking times.
- Schedule the shaping, loading, baking, unloading, depanning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, and pastry goods.
- Glaze pastries and buns and frost and cream cakes.
- Use equipment to cut, roll, and mold dough for biscuits.
- Clean, sanitize, and lubricate baking trays, tins, and other kitchen appliances.Required Skills and Qualifications:- More than 2-3 years of baking experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and in close proximity with other kitchen staff members.
- Positive can-do attitude and willingness to undertake additional kitchen tasks if required.Benefits:- Competitive salary range $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year.
- 8 hour shift schedule.Experience:- Customer service experience (preferred).
