Teaching and Learning Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Lecturer in First Nation Nursing. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with teaching experience and a passion for cultural sensitivity.

About the Role:

  • Lecturing, teaching, assessing and marking Nursing students in a supportive and student-centric environment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessments to ensure effective monitoring and support.
  • Developing and delivering high-quality educational content that incorporates First Nations perspectives and expertise.
  • Advising on the suitability of other units from a First Nations perspective to ensure culturally appropriate courses.
  • Engaging with colleagues and stakeholders to promote cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with a strong understanding of theory and practice.
  • Demonstrated lived experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and engagement with community.
  • Excellent presentation and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
