
Senior Research Coordinator

The role of Research Project Manager involves overseeing the effective management of program operations, governance processes, and strategies to maximize research outcomes and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the research program lead in developing and implementing a research strategy.
- Manage day-to-day program operations including office administration, human resources, budgeting, financial reporting, space and resource management, communications, marketing, and occupational health and safety.
- Act as the key liaison within the program for university divisions overseeing finance, human resources, research, and commercial services.
- Contribute to internal and external collaborations to strengthen health outcomes research and service delivery.
Requirements:
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications, along with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in a university, healthcare, or research-intensive environment.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor research teams and processes, including budgets, resource management, and research reporting, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Strong budget development, financial management, and cost-control skills to achieve project deliverables and contractual requirements.
- Highly developed organisational skills, initiative, and problem-solving ability; proven experience managing projects, people, and workflows to meet outcomes and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise with stakeholders and senior managers in a professional and culturally sensitive manner.
- High-level written communication skills for preparing reports, plans, correspondence, and documentation using various computer applications.
