Aircraft Maintenance Planning Specialist

Aircraft Maintenance Planning Specialists play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities. As an integral member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the production planning process to guarantee seamless maintenance event execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Production Planning process to ensure the timely completion of maintenance tasks, identifying turn times, resource requirements, and stakeholder constraints.
- Develop and implement effective production planning initiatives to drive continual excellence in safety, compliance, and on-time performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders from Part 145 and Part 42 organizations to facilitate open communication and collaboration.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures within the AMO Production Planning business, leveraging critical business tools to drive sustainable change.
- Review customer maintenance plans to ensure all production planning requirements are met.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:- Detailed understanding of aircraft line and light maintenance operations.
- Aircraft trade certificate or tertiary qualification in an aviation stream.
- Experience in an aircraft maintenance environment in a maintenance planning capacity, and as an AME (or equivalent).
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving abilities, and capability to assess and interpret options and develop solutions.
- Effective communication skills with ability to communicate across all levels within a team.
- Proven people management skills.
- Experience with TRAX and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work rotating shift patterns (day shifts only at this time).
- Valid AUS ASIC.
- Exposure to new fleet of state-of-the-art aircraft and projects related to Qantas Group's A320/1, B787, and A321 Freighters.
