Job Title: Clinical Specialist in Emergency Medicine
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join our team at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and promoting seamless continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient services.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in General Practice and Emergency Medicine, with a strong focus on clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care. You will be responsible for providing inpatient and emergency department services, ensuring optimal medical care to patients across a wide range of specialties.
Key Responsibilities- To provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
- To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- To participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documenting patient information and treatment plans as required.
- To engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with advances in medical science and technology.
- A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in General Practice and Emergency Medicine, with a strong focus on clinical excellence and teamwork.
- Completion of an Emergency Life Support course and skill/experience in Emergency Medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
