Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

This is a senior-level position for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure and scalable cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.

The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering cloud-native solutions and ensuring compliance with government security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Azure DevOps pipelines for automated deployment and configuration of cloud resources.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, firewalls, and web application firewalls in Azure subscriptions.
  • Provide Level 3 support for Azure-hosted business applications and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of a secure and scalable Azure hosting platform.
  • Manage virtual infrastructure, Azure Data Factories, and other cloud-native services.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform modules and code libraries using Agile methodologies.
  • Support and advise on Microsoft cloud services including M365, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Intune.
  • Apply infrastructure changes securely and promptly, adhering to IT change management protocols.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience managing large-scale Azure deployments and production environments.
  • Strong expertise in Azure DevOps, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365 administration and support.
  • Experience working with developers and business stakeholders to deliver cloud-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with government IT security frameworks (e.g., ACSC Essential Eight).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage infrastructure change requests in compliance-driven environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
