We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate professional to join our team as a Family Violence Specialist. This role will play a key part in empowering AOD practitioners to better identify and respond to family violence in the eastern catchment.
Key Responsibilities- Enhance collaboration between AOD, family violence, and mental health services to improve family violence assessment, intervention, and workforce capability in the AOD sector.
- Build AOD sector capacity in family violence response through training and support.
- Provide secondary consultations to staff working with victims/survivors of family violence.
- Facilitate MARAM alignment and regional collaboration to drive systemic changes in service delivery.
- Engage in professional development, team meetings, and community networking to stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends.
- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience in the family violence service system, with AOD sector knowledge an advantage.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and networking skills.
- Culturally aware, client-focused, and collaborative approach.
- Ability to manage stress, practice self-care, and adapt to changing priorities.
