At SG Fleet, we offer a unique work environment that fosters growth, innovation, and teamwork. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in driving our digital transformation and shaping the future of our organization.

Job Description:

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and integrated security measures. This role involves close collaboration with Architects, Managers, Engineers, QA & IT teams to optimize and automate build, test, and deployment processes, while implementing efficient workflow practices and robust monitoring solutions.

The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the DevOps team in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated, secure, and reliable deployments, incorporating integrated security measures, continuous monitoring, DB deployment, and integrated test automation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automations for one-click application provisioning using reference architecture and implementing flexible infrastructure solutions to support scalability and resilience.
  • Spearhead cloud cost optimization initiatives, collaborating with architects to review and refine High-Level Designs (HLDs), provide strategic input, and maximize ROI for cloud infrastructure and services across the organization.
  • Implement a user-friendly, feature-rich Internal Developer Platform that enables application provisioning using reference templates, infrastructure modification for existing applications, efficient decommissioning of applications, and streamlined service discovery.
  • Lead containerization initiatives and continuous improvement for new and existing applications across cloud and hosted infrastructure environments.
  • Collaborate with diverse software teams globally to gather feedback, enhance existing automations and processes, provide training, and foster cross-regional knowledge sharing, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment of DevOps practices throughout the organization.
  • Implement and oversee a comprehensive application security program, integrating Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), and other security elements throughout the development lifecycle. Ensure these security measures are seamlessly incorporated into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows to maintain a robust security posture without compromising development velocity.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience leading a team, managing, coaching, and developing team members to their full potential to create a high-performance culture.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Lead or equivalent role, demonstrating expertise in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management.
  • Expertise in Azure cloud architecture, utilizing PaaS and cloud-native resources to design secure, scalable organizational ecosystems.
  • Proven leadership experience in DevOps across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD automation, using tools such as Jenkins, Octopus, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket.
  • Experience designing and maintaining microservices architectures, ensuring scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance.
  • Proficiency in automating Azure cloud infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and decommissioning using Bicep or Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, AKS).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing security measures in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines, including securing DevSecOps tools and scripts.
  • Experience implementing and optimizing observability platforms (e.g., Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, DataDog).

Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of AU$140,000 - AU$180,000 per annum.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including up to four extra days of leave each year, industry-leading 20 weeks of paid parental leave, and education support towards your growth.
