Enforcement Investigator Role

  • The role involves contributing to investigations of suspected misconduct and obtaining enforcement outcomes.
  • You will have the opportunity to participate in varied, interesting and impactful work.
  • As an Enforcement Investigator, you will work as part of multi-disciplinary enforcement teams, engaging in investigation planning and discussions about scope and strategy.
  • You will employ a range of evidence gathering techniques, including interviewing witnesses, taking witness statements, preparing affidavits, participating in the execution of search warrants, conducting compulsory examinations and issuing compulsory notices.
  • You will utilise ASIC's evidence management technology and other systems to derive insights from data, information and documents.
  • You will contribute to the preparation and compilation of criminal, civil and administrative briefs and provide support to any proceedings in State or Federal Courts.

Requirements
  • You will have demonstrated experience in an investigative or similar role, preferably with a degree in commerce, finance, business, criminology or another related discipline.
  • You will be comfortable working with large and complex information, or data sets, using evidence management software, investigative strategies, tools and technologies.
  • You will have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • You will be passionate about using your investigative skills to make a positive difference for investors and consumers in the Australian financial system.
