Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Anaesthetic Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to anaesthetists during complex and high-acuity surgical procedures, including cardiac, paediatric, and neuro surgeries.

The position is based within a busy 14-theatre environment, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient administration of anaesthesia.

As an Anaesthetic Technician, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless care for patients undergoing complex and urgent surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide anaesthetic support for a wide range of complex surgeries, including cardiac, paediatric, and neuro operations.
  • Manage high-acuity and emergency cases that require rapid assessment and intervention.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless care for patients undergoing complex and urgent surgeries.
  • Mentor and guide junior nurses and theatre staff in the provision of anaesthetic care.
Requirements:
  • Anaesthetic Technician Qualification
  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience as an anaesthetic assistant in an operating theatre environment.
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Flexibility to work shifts between 5pm - 11pm permanently
  • Experience in complex anaesthesia care, including cardiac, paediatric, and neuro surgeries.
  • Knowledge of advanced anaesthetic equipment, monitoring techniques, and emergency management protocols.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with multiple complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to handle stressful and dynamic situations.
