Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be part of a dedicated finance team responsible for processing banking and reconciliations transactions across Government Shared Services. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive financial services, support, and advice to drive customer satisfaction
- Elevating complex issues to the Senior Finance Officer or Team Lead for timely resolution
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data within the finance system, ensuring seamless integration with Department delegations and adherence to data timeliness, accuracy, and compliance standards
- Interpreting financial payments, legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure informed decision-making
- Completing manual calculations and adjustments to maintain financial integrity
- Reviewing bank statement load errors, post-processing errors, manual allocation of receipts, manual journals for incorrect postings from automated bank statement load, and other banking reconciliation requirements
- Supporting the testing of system changes to Banking settings or design
- Collaborating with stakeholders on reconciliations and ad-hoc information requests
- Maintaining reconciliations in accordance with accounting standards, departmental procedures, and meeting delivery timelines
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate strong capabilities in:
- Delivering accuracy and providing timely service in high-volume environments
- Fostering a customer-centric approach in meeting Service Partnership Agreements
- Maintaining a working knowledge of legislative, policy, and procedure updates
- Collaborating effectively with others on joint programs and projects
