As a Community Services Training Specialist at Acknowledge Education, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring students are prepared academically and practically for their work placements. You will oversee the coordination of field placements for our community service courses and teach our newly implemented Bachelor of Community Services course in Adelaide.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Teach the next generation of community service workers to develop essential skills and knowledge in the field.
- Lead the development of current, relevant material for fieldwork placements to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Oversee the assessment process to ensure quality and compliance with regulatory frameworks and standards.
- Promote professional development to maintain teaching excellence and stay updated with emerging practices.
- Deliver engaging placement induction programs that meet students' needs and requirements.
- Incorporate feedback from agencies to improve the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures, and participate in incident investigations and resolutions.
**Requirements:
- Post-graduate qualification in Community Services, Welfare Work, Human Services, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for membership in relevant professional bodies (ACWA, APHRA, AASW, APS) is required.
- At least three years post-qualification relevant industry experience.
- Commitment to undertaking at least 20 hours of continued professional development annually.
- High professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to both teaching and industry engagement.
- A strong understanding of theory and practice in the relevant discipline.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a $1,500 professional development allowance and be part of an incredibly committed and supportive team of professionals who share your passion for education.
