Job Title: Disability Support Worker

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with varying levels of need.

About the Role:
  • Supporting Individuals: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as showering, toileting, and personal hygiene, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
  • Clinical Care: Provide wound care, bowel care, and other clinical support services as required, in accordance with individual needs and medical guidelines.
  • Manual Handling: Safely use equipment, such as wheelchairs and hoists, to support client mobility and independence.
  • Domestic Duties: Perform household tasks, including cleaning and meal preparation, to maintain a safe, comfortable, and hygienic environment.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of Spinal Injury: Demonstrate a genuine understanding of spinal injury and its impact on individuals, including knowledge of related health implications.
  • Certifications and Checks: Possess a National Police Check, Working With Children Check, and First Aid Certificate. Additionally, be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Check and have up-to-date COVID vaccination in line with current NSW legislation.
  • Working Rights and Driver's License: Hold working rights in Australia and possess a current driver's license, along with a registered and insured vehicle.
Preferred but Not Essential Criteria:
  • Industry Experience: While not essential, industry experience is highly regarded and may provide valuable insights and skills for this role.
  • Flexibility: Ability and willingness to work a split shift roster, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Key Skills and Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
