Lead Adult Psychiatrist

The psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments, providing diagnoses based on DSM criteria, and developing treatment plans for a variety of mental health conditions.
They will also prepare detailed written reports, advise on operational readiness and return to work, conduct psychopharmacological treatment and evidence-based therapy, and provide clinical preceptorship and educational sessions for staff.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, the psychiatrist must be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and hold specialty certification in psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
They must also have experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population and be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
