Job Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Team.

This role will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with accounting and GST requirements.

The successful candidate will also ensure adherence to purchase order and invoicing policy, prepare and process payment runs, assist internal and external stakeholders with systems queries, efficiently manage and store all accounts payable documents, provide training and guidance to the business on accounts payable processes, reconcile key vendor statements, and support the finance team with end-of-month and year-end requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices
  • Ensuring adherence to purchase order and invoicing policy
  • Preparing and processing payment runs
  • Assisting internal and external stakeholders with systems queries
  • Efficient management and storage of accounts payable documents
  • Providing training and guidance to the business on accounts payable processes
  • Reconciling key vendor statements
  • Supporting the finance team with end-of-month and year-end requirements
Requirements:
  • Extensive previous experience in accounts payable in a high-volume environment
  • Strong customer mindset (both internal and external)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of management
  • Experience in ERP systems - SAP experience an advantage
  • Knowledge of other systems (Coupa, ARAVO, and Concur) highly regarded
  • Experience within a purchase order and electronic invoicing environment
  • Basic/Intermediate Excel
