Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced fabricator/welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding products, cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in welding and fabrication procedures, interpreting drawings, and selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal from stock. You will be responsible for examining welds for width, penetration, and precision, and cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding.

Main Responsibilities
  • Fabricating and welding products
  • Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal from stock
  • Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines
  • Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting
  • Examining welds for width, penetration, and precision
  • Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding
Requirements
  • TIG & MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Some experience in stainless steel and aluminum welding is an advantage
  • Welding Certification or relevant experience
  • Current driver's license and reliable transport
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Motivated, reliable, and takes pride in workmanship
  • Strong safety-focused work ethic
  • Boilermaking experience is an advantage
