**About Zoe's Support Role**
A dedicated position for experienced professionals who share a genuine passion for supporting individuals with complex needs. At our organization, we value expertise, strong values, and commitment to person-centred care.
Zoe is a vibrant individual who loves movement, music, swimming, cycling, and exploring her surroundings through sensory experiences. She communicates non-verbally using an AAC device, facial expressions, and body language. Every day presents opportunities for connection, capacity-building, and empowering Zoe to live independently with dignity and joy.
Our team works closely with Zoe's family and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality support. We foster a collaborative environment where your professional judgment is valued, and you have the time and resources to excel in your role.
This challenging yet rewarding position requires:
- Experience in supporting people with disability, preferably with complex needs including non-verbal communication and intellectual impairment, and ASD.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent experience (preferred or willing to complete).
- Strong reporting and written skills, as well as knowledge of safe practice.
- Ability to read and respond to non-verbal communication.
- Calm and confident in managing health needs & records.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to building capacity, not dependency.
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Current First Aid & CPR
Benefits and Opportunities
As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy regular hours (approximately 20-30 hours/week), flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for professional growth and development. We offer a supportive work environment that prioritizes collaboration, respect, and open communication.
Desirable Skills and Experience
We welcome candidates with experience in AAC, Epilepsy support, familiarity with family-governed or person-directed models, and previous experience collaborating with allied health teams. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional support and fostering meaningful connections, we encourage you to explore this opportunity further.
