Physical Security Lead

The role of the Physical Security Lead is to develop and implement strategic plans for physical security systems in line with legislative requirements, industry standards, and organisational policies.

This position oversees a team responsible for managing electronic access control systems databases and provides support and solutions to the Assets and Infrastructure Team for planned and reactive maintenance, facility upgrades, and asset planning related to physical security.

The successful candidate will have experience as a security professional with strong knowledge of electronic and physical security systems, including access control, alarms, CCTV, and security policies.

They will also have good understanding of relevant legislation and standards, a proven ability to develop and implement risk management strategies, and experience leading teams and delivering security programs in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for physical security systems
  • Oversee a team that manages electronic access control systems databases
  • Provide support and solutions to the Assets and Infrastructure Team
  • Develop and administer effective physical security systems
  • Integrate security approach with the broader organisation and applicable government regulations

Requirements:

  • Experienced security professional with knowledge of electronic and physical security systems
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation and standards
  • Proven ability to develop and implement risk management strategies
  • Experience leading teams and delivering security programs in complex environments
  • Applicable security licensing or certification
