Strategic Finance Partner

We are seeking a skilled Business Operations Partner to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with business units across the organisation, you will provide strategic financial insights, ensure data accuracy, and deliver informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a trusted advisor and partner to operational leaders across all business units.
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights that drive performance, cost control, and pricing strategies.
- Lead and prepare budgets, monthly forecasts, month-end/year-end reporting, and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement financial models, reporting tools, and performance metrics (KPIs) to enhance planning and accuracy.
- Ensure data integrity across systems while driving process improvements.
- Contribute to external reporting, benchmarking, compliance, and systems integration initiatives.
- Support systems integration and process mapping initiatives across finance and business functions.
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or CA accreditation.
- 5+ years' experience within a similar role.
- Experience within the Construction, Engineering industry highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Project Accounting.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced experience with MS Excel.
- Experience with Dynamics365 preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and continuous improvements.
