Emergency Services Administrative Assistant

Position Overview:
The Emergency Department Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Emergency Departments at Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Hospital. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care through effective clerical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional clerical services within the Emergency Department.
- Coordinate the registration process for all patients visiting the department.
- Facilitate patient admissions and discharges as required.
- Work within a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact empathetically with the public.
- Effective communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience in a public-facing role.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
This role may be utilized to fill various employment opportunities, including casual, term, or ongoing positions as they become available.
Additional Information:
- Salary range: $29.56 to $31.80 per hour, with a 25% casual loading.
- Flexible working arrangements are available, promoting diversity in the workplace.
- Successful candidates will undergo a Criminal History Check and Immunisation compliance.
