We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ward Administration Assistant to join our team at Flinders Medical Centre – Medicine, Cardiac & Critical Care Services.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing administrative, clerical and reception services in a busy hospital environment. This includes working closely with patients, families and other consumers to provide a customer-focused reception service, as well as contributing to the efficient and effective day-to-day management of the ward.

About the Role:

The Ward Administration Assistant will be responsible for a range of duties, including:

  • Ensuring that requests of the patient's family regarding visitors are met;
  • Conveying patient transfer, admission and discharge information to the Central Patient and Bed Manager in a timely manner;
  • Contributing ideas to improve administration processes and clerical services;
  • Participating in personal development review on an annual basis.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a clinical environment;
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills;
  • Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing;
