Lead the Defence and Space Sector in South Australia

Defence SA is seeking an experienced leader to drive the growth and development of the defence and space sector in South Australia. As the Executive Director Defence and Industry, you will be responsible for leading the Defence and Industry team to increase defence and space industry presence in the state.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the defence and space sector in South Australia
  • Lead the Defence and Industry team to achieve sector growth and development goals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop business opportunities for local companies
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support a sustainable defence and space industry
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Experience in the defence and space industry
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to drive sector growth and development
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

The successful applicant must have the ability to obtain a minimum NV1 security clearance and a willingness to undertake the process to obtain an NV2 / PV security clearance if required. This is a contract/term vacancy up to 36 months.
