
Procurement Specialist

This is a moderately complex to complex role within the procurement team, accountable for undertaking research, analysis and advice work. The position provides guidance on legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents to support procurement advice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide procurement advice and support to the organization.
- Prepare range of procurement related documentation.
- Deliver support and advice on compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, Procurement Policy and procedures.
- Assist with tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs.
- Enter, extract and manipulate data to enable accurate reporting.
- Provide level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Contribute to team and branch planning activities including identifying opportunities for improvements.
About You:
- Demonstrated understanding federal government procurement processes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Intermediate understanding of MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.
- Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience using Procurement, HR and/or Finance business systems.
Requirements:
- Australian citizenship required.
- National Criminal History Records Check and completion of screening checks.
