The role of Data Centre Security Officer is crucial in safeguarding the integrity and security of data centres. This includes conducting comprehensive security screenings, ensuring adherence to all security protocols, and preventing prohibited items from entering or exiting restricted areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough security screenings of personnel entering and exiting restricted areas.
- Ensure compliance with all security procedures and policies, identifying potential risks or breaches.
- Prevent unauthorized items from being introduced to or removed from restricted areas.
- Issue and audit security visitor and contractor badges according to established policies.
- Raise and modify access requests using designated software programs.
- Elevate and report incidents, providing daily activity reports in writing.
- Patrol assigned areas and report any issues to the regional control room.
- Baseline/NV1 Clearance is mandatory for this position.
- A valid NSW Security License is required.
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate is necessary.
- Desirable: Experience in Data Centre Security would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Customer service experience is highly valued.
